theme customization not working

  • hi all,

    I installed wordpress 4.7.4 on ubuntu server 16.04.
    then if I go to Appearance -> Theme and click on Customize the active theme the custimizer doesn’t load.

    here is what I see:

    any ideas?

  • load-scripts seems to be outputting buggy code. Best bet would not use customize if you can or just pick another theme altogether.

    already tried the rest of the themes that came stock with WP but the problem persist.
    also tried to remove all WP files and DB and start over with a fresh install.

    if it helps, my server has the following software:

    PHP 7.0.15-0ubuntu0.16.04.4
    Webserver Apache/2.4.18 (Ubuntu)
    DB 5.5.5-10.0.29-MariaDB-0ubuntu0.16.04.1

    any other ideas?

    it’s a very basic function on a fresh install… i think it has to do with my server, but can’t figure out what is it…

    I am having the same issues, uninstall and install themes, but the customize option is not working. it comes a blank page

    Any ideas?
