• Hi,
I recently installed this theme. I would like to customize it, but I can’t find any options. For example, how can I set it with the central content and a column on the right? It was set like this before, but when I installed the theme, the right column disappeared. Could you give me some instructions? Thanks

  • The “Hello Elementor” theme is intentionally minimal and lightweight, offering basic styling without extensive customization options within the WordPress Customizer. This is because it is designed to work seamlessly with the Elementor plugin, allowing you to build your layout and content structure using Elementor’s page builder.

To recreate your central content layout with a right column using the Hello Elementor theme, follow these steps:

    1. Ensure Elementor is Installed and Activated

    • Go to Plugins > Add New in your WordPress dashboard.
    • Search for Elementor and install it if it isn’t already installed.
    • Activate the plugin.

    2. Create or Edit a Page Using Elementor

    • Go to Pages > Add New or Pages > All Pages to select an existing page.
    • Click Edit with Elementor to open the page builder interface.

    3. Add the Two-Column Layout ( I did this and then used the other flexbox option as well, either worked for me)

    • Once in Elementor, click on the Add New Section button (the ‘+’ sign).
    • Choose the two-column structure option from the layout options that appear.

    4. Customize Column Width

    • You can adjust the width of each column by dragging the center handle between them or by setting the percentage manually:
      • Click on the column handle to access the Column Settings on the left panel.
      • Under Layout, set the width to achieve the desired column ratio (e.g., 70% for content and 30% for the sidebar).

    5. Adjust Sidebar Widgets (Optional)

    • If you want to display WordPress sidebar widgets within the right column, add the Sidebar Widget in Elementor:
      • Drag the “Sidebar” widget from Elementor’s widget panel into the right column.
      • Choose the sidebar you’d like to display from the dropdown list (e.g., Main Sidebar).

    Additional Tips

    • Global Templates: You can also create a template with this layout and use it across multiple pages.
    • Custom Sidebar Widgets: If the default WordPress widgets are not enough, you can add more custom widgets through Elementor or use the Elementor Pro features for even more flexibility.
