• Good day. I am trying to set up a mega menu on a site with the theme cosmoswp. The settings of the Max Mega menu plugin do not apply to the Primary menu. We found a temporary solution to using the plugin as a widget, but I would like to receive instructions on how to configure the Max Mega menu plugin for the Primary menu in the cosmoswp theme.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi ghenry003,

There’s no harm in using the Widget if that’s what works for you.

It sounds like cosmoswp is not specifying the ‘theme_location’ parameter in its call to wp_nav_menu. If you go to Mega Menu > Menu Locations, you can find the correct PHP code to output the menu (which can be used to replace the themes menu output code, usually in the header.php file).

    Tom

good day. I went through Mega Menu> Menu Locations and I did not find PHP code there. I am using the free version of your plugin.

I’m sorry. I found the php code and pasted it into header.php. Something corrected and everything works.
Question: if the theme is updated my fixes will remain?

Unfortunately, after editing with the php code, there were even more problems than it was. for me this solution is not suitable. I will be grateful if you suggest another solution for my problem.

    Hi ghenry003,

What were the problems, and what is the reason for not wanting to use the widget? It is common nowadays, especially with the prevalence of page builders (Elementor etc) to use a widget to output the menu.

    Regards,
    Tom
