Theme Confusion

Hi Folks.

My first post on here, so hopefully I’ll ask some sensible questions, but bear with me as really not up to speed yet.

I realise most themes can be customised to how I would like them but here is my problem. I can never seem to make a final decision on a lot of things, and in particular the theme I’m going to need in the future.

I am developing a site where politics is discussed and a degree of activism (nothing radical) is encouraged to bring about change. I would like a crisp looking theme with the ability to include a shopping cart for apparel and various items, and at a later stage the ability to upload Youtube links etc.

At the moment I guess I’m looking at black and white interface that doesn’t scream OTT.

Again I realise any theme can be customised to how I want it, but would value your opinions.
