Hi, I’m testing out draw attention for use in a client site. Its the perfect solution for what we are trying to do on her home page and plan on buying the full version, if I can get it to work. I tried it out on a hidden page of my own website and pretty quickly discovered it has a conflict with the theme I use. So the image works when you view it on its own, but not embedded on the page (with Wp bakery).
I have not yet purchased a theme to create her site with. SO my questions for you are: 1) are there themes that you recommend that play nicely with Draw Attention? 2) is there anything I can look for when evaluating themes that might help me avoid ones that will conflict with Draw Attention? and 3) if i get the full version and install it on her site with a theme, what kind of support can I get to help resolve that issue (i.e should I expect help from you, the theme or both?) Thanks for your help!

Hello! Thanks for getting in touch. On the page that you’ve linked to, it looks like you’re using some kind of special loader for the page that displays your logo while the page loads in the background. That kind of loading can interfere with our plugin because it impedes our ability to run the setup scripts that we need to run to get the image working. If your theme offers the ability to disable that for this page, I suspect that will get the demo page working.

We’ve found that our plugin works very nicely with most themes. The items that cause issues are ajax/JavaScript page loaders (like the one on the linked test page), or putting the image on the page in such a way that it’s not immediately visible on page load (like inside a tab or a slider). Most themes that have page loaders have the ability to disable them altogether or to disable for them for certain pages, so you can often work around that limitation.

As far as support, we’re happy to look at your page and figure out where the issue is coming from. If it’s something we can offer a bit of code to work around, we will. But if the issue is a JavaScript or PHP error in a theme or another plugin, we can’t do much to help in that case, and you’ll need to contact the theme or plugin author for help in getting that resolved.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank so very much! This is incredibly helpful and gives me a direction when evaluating potential themes for my client. i.e. avoid the ajax/java page loaders…
