Upgraded to WP 3.7.1 – Freezing in Safari 7.0

    Hi,
    I have upgraded my WP install to 3.7.1 – using Canvas (WooThemes) with Child theme. When I use Safari (7.0) and log into the admin screen everything is fine until I view the Canvas menu – it then freezes, so using Safari I cannot administer the theme options.

    The theme options work fine in Firefox and Chrome, just not in Safari for some reason, and only since upgrading to 3.7.1

    When I activate a standard theme such as Twenty Eleven – the dashboard when viewed in Safari works fine – all the navigation is fine..

    It seems very strange. Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this?

    No problem with Firefox. My current work-around.

    From the Safari menu bar, select

    Safari ? Preferences ? Extensions

    Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

    If you wish, you may be able to salvage the errant extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Its settings will revert to their defaults. If the extension still causes a problem, remove it permanently or refer to its developer for support.

    We’ve isolated it to being an issue with Safari not being able to handle the javascript in our WooFramework.

    You need to update from Safari 7.0.0 to Safari 7.0.1 to fix this bug in the Safari browser.
