A Child Theme is a folder within your theme that inherits functionality of its parent theme.

Modifications to themes will erase upon theme update, unless Child Themes are used.

You may have an easier time just selecting another theme. Sixhours theme’s are awesome (yep, I’m a fan ?? ) but what you are asking for would alter the whole flow and layout.

@loveateverybite – this is possible but requires some pretty significant adjustments. You definitely need to use a child theme if you attempt it. You can find some tips on creating a new sidebar here:
