Theme breaks 'Add Media' button

  • My Add Media button isn’t working. It seems to only add a hash # to the url. No refresh. Nothing.

    I went through the WP forum and there are lots of post about this for various versions of WP (I’m on 4). In my case the culprit is the theme. But the reason for this post is, because I want to know WHAT in a theme can break the button?

    Any ideas?

    (using ‘Incarnation’ theme – site is ccc.pca.org)
