I have a website on wordpress https://www.snappygoods.com and the service provider I use to host this site is https://www.ipage.com.

I recently received a [verified] message from ipage that my one wordpress website on their server is over 25gb in size and they are threatening to shut my website down.

After reviewing my files, I found no single file outside of the kb range in size. Does anyone have any idea how a server space could contribute over 25gb of space hogging without being used for any storage and only hosting only one wordpress website?

I’m using the theme named “Bold” by Elegant Themes. My images are appropriately optimized and everything seems in order.

When I pull up my pages individually online with “yslow” and analyze the page sizes, each of these pages are large but not outside of about 1,500k – any thoughts?

    Thanks!

This is something you need to discuss with your hosting providers. We do not have access to your files on the server so we wouldn’t know which files are consuming the most space.

When I pull up my pages individually online

I doubt your hosting providers were talking about your webpages consuming 25 gigs of space. They were probably talking about all of your files you have within your WordPress directory.

Either way you should talk to your hosting providers and ask them what files in particular are consuming the most space.

Got it! I am using a wordpress plugin to back up my server but it wasn’t deleting any of the versions after saving a new one! I cleared out the excess backup data and I’m back down under a gigabyte.

    Thanks for your thoughts ??
