Theme Astra, has broken all of my websites.
I remove it, reinstall it and it is temporarily corrected. After a few hours it crashes again and can’t log in to wordpress.
I did several tests and discards. And definitely the “Theme Astra” is the cause of the problem.

Hello, how do we troubleshoot with this description?
No URL to the website, no website state from wordpress or error logs…….
(I am not from support but also only a user)So far so good, I have installed a previous version of ASTRA, and ERROR no longer appears
If the error persists, I’ll take the screenshots and place them here.
I am having the exact same issue, I delete and reinstall Astra and it works for maybe 24 hours and then crashes again. Then I have to do it all over again. Is there a remedy for this or do I need to go to an older version. Where can I find the older version?
I reinstalled the previous version, and it’s still the same.
Those from the hosting reviewed it and said that the cause of the problem is a malware from Theme AstraHello, as I wrote above:

Or please open a support ticket directly with Astra.
Hi @hugaen, sorry for the long delay.
What you mentioned here, I dare to say that your hosting was wrong. There’s no such malware thing in Astra theme (code). However, if you can share with me the code or screenshot of it, which your hosting said it is malware, that would be great.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Herman ??My hosting said it is the astra add-on plugin, not the theme that was causing my site to crash. He disabled that plugin and all is ok for now.
Writing all the discussion I had with the company that provides me with hosting, would be very extensive.
They corrected it, and after a few days it was back to the same thing.
- First they said that “it was a virus and that they already disinfected it.”
…It was fine for a few days, then the whole website would crash again. - Then they said they “updated MySQL”
…It was fine for a few days, then the whole website would crash again. - After “they had updated MariaDB
…It was fine for a few days, then the whole website would crash again.
Then they indicated that “it was malware in Astra”
…. Here they uninstalled the child theme of Astra and also Astra itself from all my websites, leaving a total disaster. And they told me this error.Parse error: syntax error, unexpected end of file in /home/ximxoxtf/bybmarkt.com/wp-content/themes/astra-child/functions.php on line 199
For my part I reinstalled the Astra theme again and set up the entire layout.
Since then a week has passed and everything is stable.I attach the images that I sent before and after each failure

You are using a child theme, and what you have in line 199 of the
functions.php
file, it’s not coming from Astra. What do you have in line 199? What does that code do, and where did you get it?When you have a problem when the child theme is active, then the problem is gone after you activate the parent theme, we can safely say that the problem is in the child theme.
Kind regards,
Herman ??Hello Herman, thanks for your answer. I am not an expert on the matter.
In all this time I tried to solve it alone. I did a lot of tests.
I thought the problem was caused by Astra’s child themes, there I added some php codes so that WordPress, Astra and Plugins don’t update.
I removed all the child themes and put only the Astra theme and everything was fixed, but after a few days my whole website was broken again.
In my Hosting, I have a domain that does not use Astra, and this site was also misconfigured.
If the hosting people had said that it was a virus and they had kept that information until the end, I would believe them. But in each communication they told me something different.
1- It is a Virus
2- We update MySQL
3- We update MariaDB
4- Malware in AstraHerman, the code that indicates, the hosting gave it to me saying that the problem was Astra and I should consult as my provider
This was the last code I was given, stating that, after checking, the problem is still due to the ‘astra’ theme. I attach the record.
PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected end of file in /home/ximxoxtf/multiservicioscopyprint.com/wp-content/themes/astra/functions.php on line 212
I have a Shared Hosting with 12 domains
11 Domains, use Astra and the Son of Astra Theme
1 Domain, does not use any child theme, neither does AstraThe other websites that I have in other hosting companies work correctly. So there are 3 theories.
1- It is a Virus or malware in the Hosting
2- It is the PHP code that I placed in the Theme child of Astra
3- That the hosting company was making updates to its servers without warning (on the internet I found similar complaints)Hello, please post your website report and the content of functions.php.
Hi @hugaen, sorry for the delay.
I agree with the theories you mentioned in your last post, although I don’t think the third is true. Even if a hosting company does an update to their system or anything, I believe it’s for good reasons and not the opposite.
I think you can do a test by installing a new fresh WordPress installation and have only the Astra theme installed on your site. Then do a virus/malware scan or whatever you did so you can say that your existing site infected by virus/malware.
If you find the same thing in this new WordPress installation, then we can narrow down this to Astra or your hosting (as you are on shared hosting) has virus/malware. Although if you find virus/malware on this new installation, I still believe it’s your hosting, because in your last post you said:
The other websites that I have in other hosting companies work correctly.

The moment, I update the theme, Website shows critical error
Then I need to switch to another basic WordPress theme, then it works fine
