[Theme: Arcade-Basic] Formatting issues in category view?

I’m having trouble with the site banner’s formatting when I open a new page from the homepage. The text becomes cropped and looks bloated and ugly, and I created possible resolutions (1) to remove the site title and (2) to resize the site title, but both resolutions affect the homepage banner too, making it look awful, and I can’t google out a solution for the life of me.

Second to that, I’m not able to have videos and images show in post previews. The Arcade-Basic theme has a transparent black strip at the top of the page that only allows for categories to be added to it, and I managed to add them, only the content looks like an ugly newsletter. I’d like to be able to add flair to the posts, maybe even show some short posts in their entirety instead of having them say “read more…” at the end of them.

Can anyone help me find solutions for these issues? I only need to resolve these items in order to get content on my site and have it running and ready for promotion.
