[Theme: Arabica] Layout glitches

I have been having problems with the layout of my theme but the creator hasn’t offered support for a month because he doesn’t have internet and frankly I’m tired of waiting so I came here. My website is https://www.boulangermedia.com. Thank you for any help you can give me.

1. If you go to my home page, there is a lot of white space above and below my logo (my name, Eric Boulanger) and I would like to narrow those gaps.

2. On my portfolio page, it is two columns with way too much space between the rows. I would like to make it three column and narrow those gaps to look like a grid.

Any help on either of these issues is appreciated.
