• I believe there is a bug in the Customizr theme. Can someone confirm if I need to do something, or if this is in fact a bug?

I have turned off comment threading, but Customizr theme shows the ‘Reply’ button on comments and allows comments 1 level deep.

I switched to another theme, just to make sure, and Customizr is the only one allowing comment replies. (Oddly, on my local development computer, the Reply button is ALL CAPS underneath the comment, and on my live server, the button is in the upper-right corner with a down arrow.)

    Running WordPress 4.9.6, Customizer 4.1.8, PHP 7

  • Hi there,
    thanks for reporting this.
About the difference between your live sever and your local environment might be because you’re running the modern style on one of them and the classical on the live server.

Where the “threading comments issue” occur? Can you provide a screenshot?

    Thanks

    Hello Rocco,

I’m not sure I understand the question about “where the threading comments occur”. It happens on pages and posts.

This is the first time I share screenshots in the WordPress forums, and I don’t see an “upload” button. So, here is a link to a screenshot:

I just “triple-checked” my live server, just to confirm, and it turns out I had “enable threaded comments” turned on. But, my local server (https://localhost, running under XAMPP) has this apparent bug.

    Hi there,
    thanks for the feedback.
The issue occurs with the modern style, a fix is on the way and will be shipped in the next theme release.

    Thanks for reporting it!

    Best.
