I’m having a strange issue a one particular theme purchased from ThemeForest. Several other folk seem to have used the theme successfully, and no-one else has commented at TF with any such problems. But the second I “activate” the theme in WP Admin, it breaks the front & backend of the specific blog with Server 500 errors.

    • I am running WordPress MultiSite 3.1.3
    • I have tested this on both a live server and my local server (MAMP-powered MultiSite 3.1.3 with domain mapping, which I love more-than lime cordial) and theme activation breaks both instantly
    • I have tested this theme on different blogs on local MultiSite Network and theme activation breaks each blog instantly.
    • The second I revert to any other theme (which I have to do via *Network* Admin because the individual blog’s WP Admin is 500’d), the server errors vanishes
    • So I sent this theme to a friend of mine so he could test it on his local MultiSite install and everything worked perfectly for him; no breaks what-so-ever

Could it be something to do with file permissions?

So I’m pretty confused. Any help will be rewarded with green cordial vouchers.

I found the conflict, but not the problem. It’s one of the plugins in my mu-plugins folder. This is the only theme amongst the 50 in my MultiSite install that has this problem, so not yet what the cause is.
