[Theme: 1A Business] Can't access WP

  • Hello,

    I’m wondering if anyone else out there has been having issues with the 1A Business Theme. I’ve been updating a client’s site that utilizes this theme for almost a year now and today I received this error code when I try to login:

    Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array in /home/cindyoch/public_html/new/wp-content/themes/1abusiness/functions/update-notifier.php on line 112

    I purchased the theme through Mojo and they have been unable to get in touch with the seller. I’ve tried to find them online and, although 1-a themes.com still appears in 3 of the top 3 google results, their site has gone out of existence.

    The host has told me that there is a conflict with the theme’s updater trying to reach the theme’s creator and that this is what is causing the error message. Unfortunately, I can’t even access WordPress in order to switch over to a different theme because all I get is that error message which blocks me from being able to login.

    If anyone has any information that could help me I would be eternally grateful.

    just remove or rename that file and everything seems to work fine. All that function does is let you know when WP needs an update. WordPress already does this for you and the theme doesn’t need this function from what I can tell…
