• I’ve gone through the thematic menus demystified post and it was awesome and so helpful, but for some reason I still can’t figure out how to change the visited color. The visited menu item is defaulting to this terrible color once a menu item has been clicked/visited. I’ve changed the visited color in my main stylesheet but it didn’t help.

    Can anyone assist on this?

    Thanks!

  • Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS work.

Yes, I already use firebug, it was not remotely helpful in this situation.

Then I can only assume that you aren’t using it correctly. It’s the ideal tool for tracking down this kind of CSS issue.

I suppose you could assume that, but I can assure you that I know how to use firebug. I’ve inspected a million times to see if there’s something I missed the time before it. I have changed every single color, even those that it made no sense to change, to see if I could figure this out. I also changed “transparent” in tons of different locations; also to no avail. NO matter what I do, my visited menu item color is this awful dark color that you can barely see on my background.

At this point I can only assume something has to be added somewhere. I just don’t know what and where. I’ve added a.visited where I assume it belongs but that also hasn’t worked. There’s something I’m obviously not seeing.

This is the thematic menu code as altered via instructions by that awesome “thematic menus demystified” post. If anyone has any ideas it would save me from saving the rest of my hair out. Thanks.
