theft the wordpress site

  • Dears,

    I want to know, is there any way which I can completely copy a WordPress site with additions and design without entering the control panel? We were exposed to a scam where our design was stolen, and upon checking it turned out that all the details of the site were stolen, but there are some scripts that still contain our domains.

    Do you have FTP or SSH access to the host? If so, you can download the files. From the hosting control panel, you can use PHPMYADMIN to export the database to a file, for download via FTP.

    that mean the thief has the ftp information?

    if he download the site by any tool that download the whole website to work offline, and in somehow he upload the files to wordpress site, is that give us the same result?

    Oh, you want to download someone else’s site or you’re asking how someone got yours. It is possible that someone get access to your hosting account; you could ask your host for records of logins. What is your long-term goal here, though? What do you want to accomplish?

    You also mentioned a “scam”… that may have led to access to your site via hosting or via a wp login.

    Are you concerned about hardening a new site? Because, other than send a takedown notice to the host of the site you claim is your stolen property, there’s really nothing to do.

    Someone uploaded a website and created a design that was exactly like the design of my website. Then he submitted a request to my BlueHost hosting to stop my website, so they stopped the website ?? and canceled my account, so I am trying to find out how he managed to do that, and I want to Find out if there was a hack or he just copied

    This sounds like something you need to work out with Bluehost. Without forensic analysis, there’s no way to tell what happened, and that’s way beyond the scope of WP support. Good luck.

    I know, but the main goal of my question is to know is there any way to convert the HTML, css files to wordpress pages? I’m not requesting support from wordpress to know what happend on my hosting account ??

    At this time, there is no way to import raw HTML/CSS into WordPress.

    You’d need to just rebuild the theme from scratch and re-build the content by copying and pasting.
