the_time() not showing the same time as in the Dasboard

  • I have a weird problem with my WordPress install. I can see in the Dashboard my comments have the “right” time (the time they were published at). The timezone is also set correctly.

    In my theme, the function the_time() is used to display the comments’ time, but this time is different from the one found in the Dashboard! Minutes are good but there are five too many hours.

    For instance I have displayed

    Any idea what’s going on?
