    Hi,

When opening a post I got an error message that says “The “yoast-seo” plugin has encountered an error and cannot be rendered.”

I didn’t update nor changed any settings to a plugin, just happened out the blue as I was working on a post.

    Could you please help?
    Thanks.

    Hello Reigcs,

I am sorry about that strange error. Can you please uninstall the plugin and reinstall a fresh copy? Doing this will not hurt your existing SEO settings.

Do let us know how it goes.

Thanks Maybellyne. Uninstalled and re-installed a fresh copy, cleared the cache, but same issue. Is there a way to see the issue in the logs somewhere? I’m really surprised as I didn’t change any settings.

Yes. You can check your server error log.

Also, can you check if your site meets the plugin requirements?

Extremely weird. I opened chrome developer tools to check the logs. Seems the issue happened only with the text editor because of too many redirects. I reloaded the page and now works fine.

I did reload the page multiple times without the debugger opened and didn’t work previously.

    I guess problem solved. Thanks.

    Hello Mabellyne,

I have the same issue. I followed the same requirements but the issue is not resolved.

Hi, I have just had this same issue. I tried everything to resolve it, even deleted and reinstalled Yoast but still no change. Then I realised I was using Chrome browser while I normally use Edge, so I switched back to Edge to see if I still got the error message, and it didn’t appear there. Now I’ve just opened a new Chrome browser to try again, and now the error message doesn’t appear there either. May be it’s a browser cache issue or something causing a conflict.
