• Hello guys, despite the slightly annoyed title, don’t worry, I’ll keep my cool, I should have been more careful in the first place.

Simply said, I want to report, not a bug, but the appaling lack of a precise feature in wordpress.

The missing thing is : when a “publish” link is clicked, save the draft post, as a draft, no matter if the current user is still logged in, or not ! >_<

You see, I spent 4 hours writing a long piece of text, rich with links and most carefully written, making my best to make it a very good text in all regards.
    I click the “publish” link.
And I’m sent to the logging in page of my blog. I had been logged out.
Then I log in. I see my post in the Drafts section.
    This is an empty draft.
All my time spent on this blog note has been utterly lost.
I am a bit angry, at me for not making a simple control-a control-c, and at wordpress, for not making a security backup without checking if I was still logged in or not.

How about making it a feature request ? To make draft backup an automatized function when “publish” is hit, and to make it independant of who is logged in at the present time ?

I think it would save more people from a heart attack in the future ??

    Best regards,
    Sabin
