I swear I am not making this up.

If I use the word “from” in any content, the editor throws a 404 error. It has to be in the middle of a sentence, not on its own. The editor tries to call some ajax file, and that fails.

Any ideas? This is the weirdest thing I have ever seen.

Well, you could substitute the word ‘frum’ and then go into the database later and substitute ‘from’ for any occurrence of ‘frum’.

But you’ll need to “beware the jubjub bird, and shun the frumious bandersnatch!”.

My mind says, ‘Huh?’. Could it possibly be some broken spell checker on your PC or a messed up attempt at a keyboard remap that is forcing some ctrl character into the editor?

Maybe try a different PC or does other users report the same problem on their machines?

Or could it be some corrupted editor filter? Plugin? Theme function?

There! Run Health check and kill your plugins then substitute a different theme and see what happens.

Or try a phrase with the word ‘frum’ in it and see if you can save it? If you can’t save it then report back here.

I’m starting to think a reload of the core files just to get the Ajax and editor files refreshed.

Its not my PC because it happens on multiple machines.

It tries to call admin-ajax.php, but throws a 404.

This is becoming a serious problem. Can anyone help?
