The “Where” is not recorded

We have tested this on our end and the custom sources are being saved in the order and also included in the export

There may be a plugin or theme conflict on your end. We also tested adding in the custom source before updating but still works.

Thank you for checking, I had not added any plugins since when it stopped writing to the DB, the only thing different is WordPress did have a update, is there a chance that I am on a newer version of WordPress than you are testing on? I am on ver 6.6.1 and the plugin listing still shows your plugin as “Not tested with my version of WordPress”

It looks like the last time it logged the “Where” was August 5th, and nothing since.

Any other help or Ideas? I sure would like to get this working again.

I disabled all plugins, then enabled Woocommerce and Where Did You Hear About Us plugin, then places a order, still did not write the selected location, So with the absolute minimum it still did not work.

@merlinsfab can you try switching to a default theme or storefront theme? also do you know if your site is cached?

Well I guess I was not caching my site, not sure if that is good or not?

Cache was set to false in my wp-config.php, I have added this to try cache

define(‘CACHE_EXPIRATION_TIME’, 3600); // in seconds

I will have to try a different theme in off hours because I cant access it as non-admin in “Under construction mode” to try and place a order to see if it writes properly.

@merlinsfab I suggest you setup a staging site so you can test there instead of testing on your live site. this way you can avoid breaking your live site. you can use a plugin like wp staging or similar.

I am having a hard time recreating my site without my theme and plugins… however I did receive a email today that stated wordpress detected an error with Where Did You Hear About Us plugin

here is the error information they sent. Not sure if this has anything to do with it or not?

Also, your plugin still indicates: Warning:?This plugin?has not been tested?with your current version of WordPress.

It says up to ver 6.4.5 and the current version is 6.6.2 and that is what I am running. Can this be the problem?

the error should not be a factor since it is working on our test site. try using the wp staging plugin to clone your site and do the tests on the staging site. I’m sorry I know this seems a lot of work but we need to rule out plugin and theme conflicts and this will also help us find the cause of the issue.

about the error will look at this and update the code as necessary.
