• Earlier the theme for website as well as download manager plugin has been updated. Now I can’t even access the dashboard as it shows the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_parse_url() in /home/leadwomen/public_html/wp-content/plugins/advanced-access-manager-back/Application/Shared/Manager.php on line 152

Is there anyway to resolve this problem and for me to revert the website to the previous format before it is been updated?

  • Looks like something broke that Advanced Access Manager plugin. You’ll need to rename that plugin’s directory via FTP or your web host’s file manager. That action will shutdown that plugin.

If you then need help to get it working you might need to contact that plugin’s support page…

Also, I noticed the plugin has just been updated 34 mins ago…

I only realize the download manager plugin being updated and was not aware of other plugins being updated

Is there by any chance I can get the contact number or email of WordPress support team to fix the problem?

    Hi @shangkari,

www.remarpro.com is free open-source software, the only support offered by WordPress are these community forums with volunteers.

You may be able to contact your host (Who according to your website, is Exabytes) and their support team may be able to help.

The problem you’ve run into is that the function wp_parse_url() is only in WordPress 4.4+ (We just released WordPress 5.6 today) and your site is running WordPress 4.2 (Released in April, 2015), so unfortunately your site is not compatible with the latest version of the plugin.

As your WordPress site is so out of date, it’s going to be common place that plugin updates are not guaranteed to work with your site.
I would highly recommend you have someone upgrade your WordPress site after making a backup, to ensure that your site continues to receive updates and remain secure.

To gain access to your site, you’ll need to deactivate the plugin in question, as you’re unable to access your WordPress dashboard, you’ll need to delete the plugin via FTP or through your hosting control panel. If you’re unsure of how to do that, once again, your webhost may be able to assist you.
