The user can add a gallery but only his own

At the moment, the Gallery works like that by design.
But please, feel free to share that as a feature request using this form:

But can I set / change it somewhere so that only my galleries can be seen? Adding galleries to other users doesn’t make any sense.

This may be something that will change in the future so only the gallery’s author could manage it but, unfortunately, this isn’t achievable right now.
