• Hello,

I tried to download & install a new theme today. The first theme I tried just kept showing ‘downloading install package’ for an hour so I figured it failed, and tried to install another. That one was stuck at ‘installing theme’ for an hour so I thought that one failed too, but when I went back, it showed it as an installed theme.

I activated it and thought it worked… But it did weird things with my Dashboard. My wp-admin/themes.php now displays as a code of the Themes page, starting with “exists() || ! $theme->is_allowed() ) wp_die( __( ‘Cheatin’ uh?’ ),” and so on.

Help? :/ I don’t know what to do to fix this.

    Hi Pinesta!

It sounds like the theme you are trying to activate doesn’t exist. Have you tried using an S/FTP to install the theme(s)?

    Hi Pinesta,

    Jip I agree with Jose.

Uploading themes via FTP is really easy, you will find the themes folder inside your public html folder -> wp-content -> themes

Upload and unzip the folder, you should then see it in the dashboard.

    I hope this helps!
