the term is not appearing

  • I’m using WordPress Version 4.5.3 and just activated “Better Search” and disabled seamless integration and set length of excerpt to 50 words . In most of the results the term I’m searching is not appearing. For example, I’m looking for the word “love” and the results show the first words on the page/post, but the search results don’t show the 50 words containing the search term with the term highlighted. Can that be done? I thought the excerpt appearing would be the excerpt with the searched term.

    The excerpt is only the post excerpt and doesn’t necessarily contain the search term.

    However, I think it is a good idea to add this feature in a future version and I’ll put this in the TODO list.

    Though, this would only apply for non-seamless mode
