The tag stopped working

  • I have a site https://learneasmoney.com. I use the <!–more–> tag to get a ‘Read more…’ link and it worked for a while then since 3/23/2013 it isn’t working. My entire article is being displayed.
    Why is this happening and how can this be fixed?

  • how are you adding the <!--more--> tag?
    are you using the buttons in the visual or text editor?

    do you remember what you changed last before the problem started?

    some code related to the ‘more’ shows in the html code of your linked site in the browser, but as <!--more-> with only one hyphen after the more.

    are there any posts where the ‘more’ still works?

    standard troubleshooting:

    – temporarily switch to the default theme Twenty Twelve to see if the ‘more’ works then;
    if it does, then this is a theme issue for which you need to contact the provider of your theme for support.

    – temporarily deactivate all plugins;
    if this helps, re-activate one plugin at a time to locate the interfering one.
