The tag ‘link rel=canonical’ appears more than once in the document.

I’m having the same issue but when I look at the source code, there is only one canonical as there should be.

This error is not from our end. It was caused by Yoast update. We will fix this error in our latest version of the plugin. Can you please update the version of the plugin and check once whether having the same issue or not.

I updated the plugin but there still the same problem. What can we do exactly?

Me toi, same problem, Yesterday, thé upgrade seem have solved the issue, but now, somme page have an erroné… Please help.

@ahmedkaludi updated plugin to latest (Version 1.0.44) but still have same issues. The Google online AMP test is still showing “The tag ‘link rel=canonical’ appears more than once in the document.”

Will you solve this Yoast plugin update issue ASAP?

Here’s the steps you should take:
1. Install the latest update
2. Clear any cache from plug-in side or server side
3. Click on “Validate Fix” in search console https://ampforwp.com/tutorials/article/how-to-validate-the-fix-in-google-search-console/

That should solve it for you.

This issue has been fixed in our latest version of the plugin. Can you please update the plugin(1.0.45) and check once whether having the same issue or not. And let me know if the issue is resolved or not.
