Working on my website which is not published yet.

I intended to have 2 currencies and 2 accounts for them: CAD and USD. When I set up WooCommerce, at first I choose USD as the currency with a Canadian address. Then I created a USD account on Stripe. Later I changed to CAD as the currency in the settings and added a CAD accound on Stripe and set it as default. Two accounts are with Canadian Banks.

Now my system is stuck to USD no matter what I do. It aumatically converts every currency I setup in settings into USD store wide.

I tested it with or without most plugins(no switcher plugins and even no Stripe). For example, the price I entered is 25. If I set up store currency as USD, the price will be 25 and checkout shows $25usd. If I set up store currency as CAD, the price will be 19 and the checkout shows $19usd. Even I set up with Euro, the price will be $28usd.

Also the customer shipping address doesn’t make any difference as it should in the test.

Did I miss anything? I try to use as less plugins as possible. I searched this forum and couldn’t find an answer. I am new to this. Any help will be appreciated.

  • Let me simplify. Do you want the payment gateway stripe to take payment in the currency that your customer chose. If that is case which currency switcher plugin are you using. Let me know your website url.

I think some plugin caused this issue. I kept only woocommerce and this problem went away. I added a few back and it seems fine and hope it will stay this way. Thank you.

    Hi @wonderwooman ,

    Nice troubleshooting work!

If you’d like to find the exact plugin causing the issue, you can enable each plugin, one by one, checking after each to see which plugin is causing the issue.

More information on how to test for conflicts can be found below:

Since this has been resolved, feel free to create a new topic should you need any further help ??

    Cheers!
