    Hello.
Thank you for the excellent plugin, and thank you for the strength that you are spending to support it. Quite random, just a couple of weeks ago, noticed that after cleaning spam comments that marked akismet plugin and places it in the spam folder, they are not deleted from the table itself:
    wp_commentmeta
records are accumulating, the weight of the table is growing.
I hope this information will be useful to you. If you need to clarify something – I will be happy to help.

    Hi,

Please can you clarify something for me? You say that the *comments* are not being deleted, but the table you mention is not the one in which WP stores comments; it is where meta data linked to comments is stored. Which is not being deleted – comments, meta, or both?

And – is the ‘Clean comment meta data’ optimization showing any available data to cleanse?

    The metadata is:
    wp_commentmeta
    The other table is okay.

There are no data for cleaning, does not show.

Today I updated your plugin and everything is fine:
    – “tails” of the akismet are visible
    – they were easily removed
    – everything is working
    Thank you!
