I could not replicate the same issue on my test site. Therefore, I suggest to perform full plugin/theme conflict test.

Please make sure you have recent backups and perform this operation on your dev/staging site if possible.

I did the tests and found that it was a snippets that was causing smartcrawl to have a conflict with the wordpress classic editor, I made some changes in the snippet and it works correctly.
