    Hello.
my wp-content/uploads volume increased and affected loading speed
my Waterfall in the pictures reached 8 seconds.
I have to say that all the photos I upload are stored directly in this folder without subfolder
How can I folder these photos without losing SEO?
There are over 8,000 photos in this folder right now
Even opening this folder in the cpanel takes a lot of time.
Redirecting the link to this number of photos is not really possible.
Help me please. i have no Idea!
    best regards.

Download the entire /uploads folder (/wp-content/uploads) to your local machine.
Delete all the images you do not want.
Zip up the folder on your local machine.
    Upload to your server.
Delete the entire /uploads folder from the server.
Extract the zip file you just uploaded.

    Clear your cache.
    Regenerate your thumbnails.

Make sure you have a backup that you have tested into a restore before starting this process.

If you can’t pare that down a bunch then maybe it’s time for a CDN. The good CDNs are optimized for serving up static (images and such) content in a big hurry.

I use KeyCDN along with the W3Total Cache plugin on my own sites if you don’t have a preference already.
