    Hi,

I got this working initially once, but returning to it now I’m looking at it again to write up instructions for my client to find two unused shortcodes. Each time I land on the page or refresh, I get this message:

“The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

Any clues as to what to look into to solve this?

    thanks!

Hi fastasleep and thanks for writing to us.

That message coming from new WordPress 5.2 version and the causes could be different. Can you give me some information?
    – Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the plugin?
    – Does your website have a lot of contents to search for unused shortcodes?
    – Is it possible to have user credential for your site to test it?

    Thanks

    Yes, I uninstalled and reinstalled.
Yes, there is a LOT of content.
Probably not, it’s a client’s site and he’s not keen on giving out access, sorry.

Have you tried to increase “maximum execution time” from your hosting panel?
For example adding to your WordPress .htaccess file the row:

    php_value max_execution_time 300

    Hi fastasleep,
try the 1.2.9 version. It should fix your issue.
Let us know if it works for you and…a plugin review is always appreciated ??

    Hi there,

I tried again with the new version, and at first it looks great! However, it looks like it separates results per post? I have to do a browser search for “bandcamp” for example and then I find a row that has 11 results, all from one post. Then the next hit has 8 from another post. And so forth — and they’re all listed with dozens of other false positives (I assume things in brackets). Any way to make it so all “bandcamp” and all “soundcloud” links show up in the same result blocks?

Other than that, it looks great! ??

I don’t understand which function of plugin you are using.
Can you give me your email address to investigate your problem more deeply?

I’m using “Find unused Shortcodes”. I hit “Posts”, and when it finishes it finds them all, but doesn’t group same shortcodes together. So for example, somewhere in my huge list, there’s:

    11 bandcamp
    1 The
    6 bandcamp
    2 ep
    1 bandcamp

    etc.

I was hoping to have a single listing for ALL instances of “bandcamp” versus having to click through every single post results which are scattered throughout hundreds of results. Make sense?

Thanks @fastasleep for the clear explanation. And here for you…version 1.2.10!

Wow, this is great! Exactly how I was hoping it would work. Nice job. ??

    I’ll leave a review shortly. ??
