    Hello.
I add an item to the shopping cart on the product page. Then I see a message saying that I have put the product to the cart. Next, I click the back button in the browser to return to the page from which I went to the product page, but what happens is that the product page is simply updated. And then I click the back button again in the browser and only then I get the previous page. This is slightly inconvenient, please tell me, is it possible to make it so that after adding an item to the cart from the product page, after just one click of the back button, I return to the page from which I went to the product page?

Does your product page jump to cart page when you click add to cart? If so, there is a setting to disable it – uncheck Redirect to the cart page after successful addition under WooCommerce > Settings > Products > General. With this setting, you will stay on the same product page after clicking on Add to Cart, and can go back to the previous page with one click of the back button.

Redirect to the cart page after successful addition is unchecked. The product page doesn’t jump to cart page. I just see the message that I have put the product to the cart. I have several sites with different themes and woocommerce installed, and everywhere it happens like this. Please just try it yourself.

    Hi,

This is indeed normal behaviour for WooCommerce. When you add a product to the cart and you have things configured so that you remain on the product page after that action, pressing the ‘back’ button does indeed return you to the product page before you added the product to the cart. Changing this would require custom code.

There is a plugin in the WooCommerce.com marketplace that touches this process that you might find useful:

Thank you. I hope in the next versions of Woocommerce this will work by default.
