The search function does not work for color, description or size

    I have an online t-shirt store using third-party print-on-demand services (a couple of different ones). I installed the free version a while ago. I’ve used the plugin the bulk edit product prices, but that’s all it is good for.

    The search function does not work for color, description and size. Everytime I try it, I get the same message: “No products found matching the filter criteria.” And I’ve tried searching several sizes, colors and text strings, all of which I know are there, but the result is just the same.

    Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

    Make sure that you aren’t combining the attribute filter with other criteria and see if the results are returned.

    Also, note that the free version of PW Bulk Edit will only search for Global Attributes and not Custom Product Attributes.

    No. I haven’t been combining the attribute filter with any other criteria.

    Then basic colors like white, black and red must be custom product attributes since it can’t even search for these.

    Somehow the plugin retrieves a list of my product colors from somewhere and shows them in the dropdown menu (select attributes…). The list of colors is not complete, but most of my product colors are on it. Yet, no matter which listed color I try, the search won’t find anything.

    Log into your WordPress admin area and go to Products > Attributes. This should be where the free version is getting the list.

    You can look at a product to determine if it using a Custom Product Attribute or one of these global Attributes. Go to the Products menu on the left, edit a product, and click on the Attributes tab. You will see the selected attributes on the right. Expand one of the attributes and if the “Name” field is read-only then it is a global Attribute. If you can change the Name field, it is a Custom Product Attribute.

    If you are using the Pro version, it will also retrieve any Custom Product Attributes that are on individual products. If you are using the Pro version, please contact us from our website since www.remarpro.com doesn’t allow support for Pro plugin in their forums.
