The search doesn’t find the site containing the searched term

    Hello,

    today I searched on my website the German term “Begrenzungsteile”. Ajax Search Lite does not find the site which contains this term, although my website contains this term. What could be the reason for this malfunction?

    Hi,

    If that keyword is printed to the page content via a shortcode, then there is a very high chance the plugin can’t “see” it. Shortcode contents are executed during runtime, and not present in the actual post content database. If it is a shortcode, then there is probably nothing we can do about it. The Pro version has a feature to index the post/page/cpt contents during runtime, but there is still no 100% guarantee it will work.

    OK, many thanks for your explanation. I use extensive shortcodes with the plugin “Improved Include Page” on my website. Therefore Ajax Search Lite is not well suited for my website.
