“The response parameter is missing”

This plugin behaves strangely. I have it on many sites where it works perfectly. But recently I have had random problems and cannot get it work with new sites. The error message is “Error: Google reCAPTCHA verification failed. The response parameter is missing.”

For example, I have one fairly simple site on a modern web host. I even deactivated all the other plugins – it didn’t have any effect. I had to delete Simple Google reCAPTCHA. I guess I have to find some other plugin, though I would have prefered this one because it is so simple.

Anyone else having same problem?
