    It looks like there is a conflict with another plugins, please try to deactivate plugins and try again

    Thanks for the hint. After looking around I found out that I actually had a subfolder called \go\ under my WordPress installation. I removed that folder and all worked.

    Good. please note that you can change the link structure other than /go/ with linker_prefix_slug filter
