• Hello
I have a problem with this plugin and it is that when going to any old url (blog.blogspot.com/loquesea.html) it takes me to the home of the new site (myblog.com). Some idea?

  • I am having the same problem. Did you end up finding a good fix?

    @livire @paigepuckett

Have you guys followed these instructions?

Could you please share more details about the steps you followed and the URLs which are not working properly?

    Thanks,

I followed all the steps exactly. If I try to go to and old archive date, like 2017, it works fine and redirects to the new archive. If I try to go to an exact post from the old site, it redirects me to the homepage.

If I try to go to an exact post from the old site, it redirects me to the homepage.

Have you used Preview link to go to the exact post from the old site?

I’m running in to the same issue. What I found is that there was no value in the blogger_permalink custom field on any of my WordPress posts.

What, specifically, should go in that field? Is it:

      blog-post-url
      blogname.blogspot.com/blog-post-url
      https://blogname.blogspot.com/blog-post-url

And is there a bulk way to add that field? If I have to do some SQL magic, then I can probably do it.

    Hi mygeek911,

No need to set it manually. You just need to import your blog XML file of your blogger.com blog using WordPress default Blogger import option. (Blogger import option available on top of Tools > Import page on your WordPress site.)

During importing XML WordPress by default set that meta for you.

    Thanks,

Blogger import does not need a XML file, it grabs the whole Blogger-Site live. And the redirection URL has no variable for the post. It uses newurl/b2w= this redirects to the new homepage and not to the post.
    F.e.
    blogspot.com/2011/03/pascal-mercier-der-klavierstimmer.html
    to
    newsite.com/b2w=
    to
    newsite.com/

This happens even if my post url is
    newsite.com/2011/03/pascal-mercier-der-klavierstimmer.html

Because the script it will be ignored.

Any further ways to solve this problem?
    ThanQ.
