The Query Loop Featured Image can not show in cover scale.

now, I fix it by temporary method addtional CSS:

.wp-block-query .wp-block-post-featured-image img {
	width:250px ;
}

Plus： can it be flex style, wich can be suit in wide screen? not count by columns, it look not fit in, look at this screeshot:
