I have just installed the plugin, but when I click the Printer icon, a printable version of the page appears just for a while, then it disappears!

Which browser are you using? Have you tried other browsers?
Are you using a caching plugin? js/css minimizing plugin?
are there any JS errors on your page?
Maybe just share a link to the page that is having this issue.

You might also try the upcoming version… the RC can be downloaded from GitHub at: https://github.com/baden03/print-o-matic/tree/2.0-redo

I have this same issue. Firefox browser, version 87.0 on this page. Print-o-matic works beautifully (thank you) on every other browser I’ve tested. On firefox tho– the printable page just flashes open for a second and then disappears like nothing happened. I tried changing firefox’s default pop up blockers, etc, but couldn’t get results.

Oh dear! OK, so it’s another strange Firefox issue.
Please try updating to the Release Candidate of the next version available on GitHub at: https://github.com/baden03/print-o-matic/tree/2.0-redo and let us know if this resolves this pesky FireFox issue.

In the meantime, we’ll try and recreate the issue on our test server.

    Yes, Firefox ??
Thanks for getting back. I’m not totally sure how to do what you suggest…do I need to deactivate and uninstall the plugin i have … and then download the next version from github as a zip (and install)? I’ll need to re-do my plugin settings/customizations? There aren’t a lot.

We have found the issue with the current version in FireFox.
We’ll push an update that fixes this to WordPress so you can just update as normal.

However, if you do want to jump ahead to the next major release, then you’ll want to deactivate and delete print-o-matic and then download the zip file from the GitHub repo linked to (twice) above and use it to manually install a plugin using Dashboard > Plugins > Add New > Upload .zip

Once activated all your settings will still be there.

Please update to version 1.7.14 (just updated) and verify that it resolves this issue with Firefox.

YES 1.7.14 WORKS! I’m impressed and my Firefox-loving client will be thankful.

    glad we got that settled!
    Issue marked as resolved.
If you are happy with the plugin, or its support, why not consider leaving a little review?
