    Hi there,

Unfortunately, as far as I can see, I cannot attach any screenshot, which would have come very handy.

The main issue is that as soon as one clicks on the “print” button at the end (or at the beginning, depending on the chosen settings) of some post, one is redirected to a “print” screen, which completely lacks of mobile responsiveness.

I can hardly imagine that any first, or even any recurrent visitor would keep surfing on the website after have being prompted with such an insanely wide screen (lots of horizontal scrolling).

Is this an already known issue?

    Looking forward for any hints!

    Best,
    Roman

Hi @roman17trushanov, thank you for sharing your thoughts.

The best way to send screenshots is to upload them to somewhere public (like Google Drive) and then post the link.

My rationale for having the print screen so wide, even on mobile, is to have it be a closer preview to how the printed page will look, and help Javascript rendering dynamic elements (eg sometimes Javascript will set the width of a gallery based on the page width etc). If the page were optimized for mobile viewing I think it could, in some cases, degrade the printout.

    Does that make sense?

    Hi again, Michael,

Hereby the screenshot I wanted to show you in the first place. Such a screen is all but convenient to see on mobile.. the window which contains the actual “print” button (its edge is highlighted in yellow) lays way outside of the viewport.

I guess that I got your point, however, unfortunately, this does not offset the fact that any page without mobile optimization has no reason to exist in the online landscape nowadays..

Do you perhaps have any idea of what could be done to make that screen responsive, running the risk that the print preview itself won′t look optimal on mobile? If you would take a second look at the screenshot, you might agree with me that people will probably leave the website, as soon as they are prompted with it.

Hi @roman17trushanov, hmmm I see what you mean. It’s usually not that bad (the print button should be visible.) It’s probably a problem PMB has working with your theme. If you leave PMB active on your site (even without the print buttons showing, just have the plugin active) I can test it and hopefully see what the problem is.
