• Hi,

    I have recently come across this problem. The problem is experienced with One of my WordPress Site. Its Posts are not indexed in Google. When I try to get the posts Indexed, The Homepage gets Indexed, instead. And also the Keyword that I use in the Post, they gets indexed, but I dont see the appropriate Post link in Google.

    Can Anybody help me please ?

    -Try adding your site to google? This can help speed the process.

    -Try installing a sitemap plugin. An XML sitemap will basically tell the googlebot (and most other search bots) exactly what to index, how often to index it, and the priority of what it’s indexing.

    -Check your page source and be sure you don’t still have a “no index, no follow” meta tag. And check for a robots.txt file that is blocking bots.

    -In other words, this may be keeping Google away:
    <meta name=’robots’ content=’noindex,nofollow’ />
    Go to Dashboard -> Settings -> Privacy and select “I would like my blog to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Sphere, Technorati) and archivers”

    -Get a Google account and use the Google Webmaster Tools to run a diagnostic on your site. It’ll show if there are any crawl errors.

    -Take a look at your .htaccess just to make sure it’s not got an errors or corrupt. Try renaming it temporarily to see if it makes things work again. Otherwise, I’d delete the robots.txt entirely for the time being. If there’s anything particular you do want to block, create a new one in your favourite text editor and upload it via FTP in ascii mode.

    -If you’re still having problems after that, speak to your host as they’ll probably be able to troubleshoot any config probs quite quickly.
