The plugin stops working and creates problems

I have written several times to the author of this plugin – along with several other users, but the autor “codetree” does not respond at all.
The problem:
When you install the plugin it works for a while, and then it stops working. The author does not reply on his/her site – and it is more than one year ago any updates were made. Why does the author waste WP users time – this plugin should be removed from the repository and be declared dead; which in fact it is.
