    Hi @123nadav,

    Greetings from CookieYes!

The plugin itself doesn’t consume significant resources from your site, so it shouldn’t have a noticeable impact on site speed. However, to ensure optimal performance and functionality, it is recommended to exclude the plugin’s JavaScript files from any optimization processes you plan to implement on your site.

By excluding the plugin’s JavaScript from optimization, you can prevent any adverse effects on the plugin’s functionality. This will help ensure that the plugin works seamlessly without any performance issues.

You can exclude the below files of our plugin:

    Javascript

    Cli_Data
    cli_cookiebar_settings
    ccpa_data
    /cookie-law-info-public.js
    /cookie-law-info-ccpa.js

    CSS

    /cookie-law-info-public.css
    /cookie-law-info-gdpr.css
    /cookie-law-info-table.css

NB : Inorder to further check the website, enable our plugin on the site.

    Hi @123nadav,

Based on the provided screenshots, it appears that you are using the revamped version of the plugin, which has undergone significant improvements. It’s essential to ensure that the low page speed scores are not solely caused by the plugin itself. To investigate further, we recommend temporarily deactivating the plugin and rechecking the page speed scores. This will help determine if the plugin is indeed contributing to the low scores or if there are other factors influencing the page speed.

Regarding the exclusion list, what we shared are files of the legacy plugin, for the revamped plugin, add the files “_ckyConfig” and “script.min.js” to the list of files to be excluded from optimization.

Didn’t got you with the version of the plugin, but right now the score of the front page is score 99 in the mobile and 100 in the desktop.

    i put

    “_ckyConfig” in the exclusion list.

    But i’m afraid to put:

    “script.min.js”

Have a lot of plugins use this name for their scripts,

It can exclude a lot of script and not only yours.

btw, what the different between the versions? This is the only version i got for download in my WordPress site > plugin > add new plugin.

When you search for your plugin name this what shows up so i little confuse now.?

    Hi @123nadav,

If your page speed scores are already satisfactory and you are not encountering any conflicts or issues, there may be no immediate need to add the scripts to the exclusion list.

It’s worth noting that the plugin has undergone recent improvements with a revamped version that features a new user interface (UI) and a code base similar to our web app. To ensure a smooth transition for users who installed the plugin before the revamp, the legacy version is still maintained, allowing them to continue using the familiar UI without abrupt changes.

For new installations from the WordPress directory, users will receive the latest UI provided by the revamped version of the plugin.

Considering this information, as long as your page speed scores are satisfactory and you are using the latest revamped version of the plugin, you may not need to add the scripts to the exclusion list.

Ok, i did a couple of test.

Plugin is very wired, when you start to play with the configuration of the banner (color, text etc) site start to get 10 points 15 points less in page speed.

When i activate and deactivate the plugin, score comeback to normal.

i excluded the JS and the CSS you told me, it’s not helping.

    (Issue happen in the mobile)

I think need to defer the banner at least 5 second give the website go up, and then the banner will pop out.

Have a way to do it? It’s important for Google Page speed.

If we can deffer / asynce the banner of the cookies, i think it will solve the score issue.

    Hi @123nadav,

Using the “defer” and “async” options for the plugin script is not recommended, as it can result in the script loading before obtaining consent, which can lead to noncompliance with the law.

It is worth noting that when a cookie plugin is installed on a website, there may be a slight impact on page speed. This is because the plugin is designed to handle various cookie-related functionalities, ensuring compliance with regulations and protecting user privacy. While optimizing page speed is important, it should not compromise the proper functioning of the cookie plugin and the user’s control over their data.
