The plugin isn’t working on many of the new FSE themes (including twenty three)

  • I know this plugin hasn’t been updated in years, but I thought it was worth a shot because I still love and use it on so many sites. There’s really nothing like it.

    Anyway, I get this plugin to work with modern themes by installing the Classic plugin just to get the shortcode, and then turning off classic and copying that shortcode where I need it. But on this most recent site I’m working on, the PNGs don’t move. The only way I could get it to work was by installing an old theme where I know it works.

    • It doesn’t work in Twenty Twenty Three
    • It doesn’t work in Twenty Twenty One
    • It doesn’t work in Greenshift (the FSE theme I’m using on this site)
    • Interestingly, it *does* work on Gutenify; and this IS one of the new full-site editor themes.

    So because it works in Gutenify, it seems it would be possible to get the plugin working with the new FSE themes, but I don’t know what’s different in Gutenify from these other themes. Any chance you might consider updating this plugin?
