The plugin isnt going in real time

Hey,
That means a plugin or your theme is creating an error in your admin so that the javascript can’t do the live edits.

Have you tried disabling plugins or activating another theme?

So should i worry about only email related plugins , or any plugin could bring problems with it?
Also i did the process example:
New Order > Copy archive to theme

Could that be also the problem?Even if im editing the mockup order?

If you copied the template into your theme then you are overriding this plugin with your template in your theme. You should only copy a template into your theme if you want to edit it there.

I suggest starting by switching themes as a test. Then work through plugins.

Do you mean the WordPress whole theme or the Email Customizer Template?
Cause changing the theme , wont mess with a bunch of things?

I’m suggesting you just switch to another theme simply to check. It’s a test you can switch right back after.

If you have copied templated into your theme you will for sure have to remove those.

So yeah , i did change the theme and it was doing the real time changes!

Is there any fix to it or just unfortunately the plugin isnt going to work cause of it?

If there is anyway we can fix that , im waiting for your answer .

And if there isnt something that we can do about , it is possible for me to Change to the working theme , customize the email to a desirable state , export it , change the theme back for the previous one that isnt letting real time work , import the email and use it as is without any problem?
Or the plugin doesnt working real time would influence in the email even if i already had the .dat to import?

And I tried to explain that if you were overriding woocommerce email templates in your theme then you are intentionally overriding this plugin and this plugin won’t work because you have taken control of your woocommerce templates through your theme.

And then you tested and it showed that yes in fact your theme is overriding and preventing this plugin from working.

So it’s not something this plugin can fix because it’s not an error. You have chosen to copy templates into your theme you have chosen to take control of those templates. It’s not an error because it’s working exactly how you have chosen.

If you now want to use this plugin and want to choose to not override the templates then you have to remove those templates from your theme so that this plugin can then take control of them.

Does that clarify a little better? Make more sense?

Changing themes to edit won’t’ help because as soon as your change back your templates will again override the plugin. Some of the stylings will work but being able to edit text will not.

Let me know if that helps explain.

Hi again ,

So with my limited knowledge i did two things that should’ve solved the problem but it doesnt seem to change anything.

So 1st is i went in Woocommerce -> Confirguration -> Emails then went one by one checking to see if it had the message of ” Copy archive to theme” , and all of them has this button to press which i guess means that none of them are copied to the theme.

And 2nd was that i went inside the folder the website and then went two places (which when you enter the email part of the woocommerce configuraiont , and you choose one of those emails there is a message about the whole copying archive to theme and i grabbed the adress where those folders should be with the email templates):

First being woocommerce/templates/emails and checked if the email templates were there , which they were.

Second i went to mytheme(travel-agency-pro)/woocommerce/emails which is where the woocomerce was telling my if i had made the copy of the model it would be , and this folder was empty , so it should not being able to interefere with the email template.

So yeah im not sure if this was what you mean with the whole theme taking control of the template , but if it is i guess this should not be the problem anymore.

If you go to woocommerce > status and scroll down to the templates section and there you can confirm that nothing is being overridden.

If nothing is then we need to back up and start over with what could be the issue.

We know that the plugin works for you if you choose another theme. So if the issue is with your theme and it’s not templates then I suggest talking with your theme support. I can’t access the theme because it’s premium so they should be able to diagnose an issue and can communicate with me if there is something I can change to support their theme.

Went to check woocommerce > Status and in the template section there is just nothing there just : Replacement(Substitution ( not sure what shows in english) : –

Its just empty.
