Hi, i noticed that i had this problem : https://docs.spotlightwp.com/article/863-feed-posts-are-showing-as-black-boxes-with-feed-not-available-in-the-middle

It’s strange because i didn’t touch anything and it was working well few day ago. So i followed the docs but it seems that i can’t even have access to the plug in setting : when i go in the plugin setting, i’ve got the “Spotlight” animation, then thee dashboard and just after 2 seconds, all the dashboard disappears, i can’t change any setting.

So, i try to rollback to a previous version of the plugin, i tried 6.4 and 6.0 and it’s the same problem. I repeat, every thing was working nicely few days ago, si it’s not an update problem.

Then, i tried to restaure a backup of the website, in order to be sure that it’s not another plugin which create a conflict since few day and anything change, the feed is not availabe.

Then, i tried to delete the plugin, and re install it, and the problem is still the same.

    I’m blocked, i don’t know what to do i really need help…

    Thanks

    Hi @partenaireduweb,

Thank you for explaining your problem and the steps you’ve taken.

Upon checking, I noticed that there is a 404 error on wp-json/sl-insta/media/feed on your website. The wp-json endpoint is crucial for WordPress REST API, which Spotlight utilizes.

To address this issue, let’s try refreshing your Permalink settings. Please follow the steps below:

    1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
    2. Navigate to “Settings” in the left sidebar.
    3. Click on “Permalinks.”
    4. Without making any changes, click the “Save Changes” button to refresh your permalink structure.

After doing this, please check if the issue persists.

If the problem continues, check if you are using a security plugin that disables the WP REST API, such as All In One WP Security & Firewall or WP Hardening. If so, ensure that the option disabling the REST API is not enabled. This option may be referred to as the “JSON API,” which is the same thing.

Alternatively, if your security plugin allows you to whitelist certain REST API namespaces, consider adding an exclusion for the sl-insta namespace. This way, you can secure your site’s WP REST API without affecting Spotlight’s feeds.
