    Hi,

So – it appears as though the plugin does not work? i have done the followng.

    1. I have a test User created
    2. This test User has a Role called ‘Student’
    3. I have created a Group called ‘Students’
    4. The group Students has been given 1 capability ‘Read’
    5. I have created a Test Page called ‘Testimonials’
    6. On the Page Settings, Under: ‘Groups Read: ________’ – I have added and given access to group ‘Students’
    7. This Page (Testimnials) exist in the Appearance > Menu

When i login as test User, i cannot see this page?

I am thinking potentially that it is clashing with other plugin(s) that deal with access control. E.g. right now, in Appearance > Menu, I can give access to ‘Roles’ per page. And ofcourse, for the purpose of this test, i have not given access to Role ‘Student’

    thoughts?

I would appreciate if we could communicate privately, where i can provide the URL and test logins.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

Other plugins might be conflicting, certainly Groups works. Also take into account that roles and groups are different things, don’t expect a role to behave as a group with the same name.

    I highly recommend you to:

    1. Enable debugging and check your debug.log
    1. Disable potentially conflicting plugins
    1. Have a look at the documentation at https://docs.itthinx.com/document/groups/

About clashing, with thousands of sites running Groups and our experience over almost a decade, it’s not Groups that is clashing with other plugins, but the other way round. The above recommendations should help you to shed some light on that.

    Cheers
