    Are you still getting the same error with version 3.8.5?

    Yes, if I click Active immediately after Install, I usually got that error.

    If I visit “Installed plugin” and active the plugin from there, no error

    I even got a Redirection error and can’t login to the Dashboard with your plugin, after remove it, I can login again.
